When Guests contribute funds to a Host’s Gift Pot, those funds are processed entirely by Stripe Payments Europe Limited ("Stripe"). Planiit does not hold or transmit these funds. When the Host chooses to use their Gift Pot for the gifts they have received from guests, they can purchase gift cards from the Planiit store. 4. Description of Service

4.1. Our Service currently consists of:

  • Save the Date Feature: A free, globally accessible tool allowing Users to create and share simple digital invitations to celebrate special occasions.
  • Event Management Service (UK-Only): Enhanced event planning features, including RSVP tracking and an optional Gift Pot feature. The Gift Pot allows Hosts to receive personal gifts from Guests, which can be used exclusively to purchase digital gift cards via Planiit's platform.

The Gift Pot feature operates through a simple, secure process:

  • Guests send gifts directly to the Host's regulated Stripe account
  • Host uses these received funds to purchase gift cards from our pre-owned inventory
  • Gift cards are fulfilled instantly upon purchase

For a detailed walkthrough of all our service features, please visit our How It Works page.

4.2. Service Limitations and Disclaimers:

  • Planiit operates solely as an event planning platform and an e-commerce merchant for gift cards. It does not act as a payment processor, money transmitter, or financial institution.
  • Planiit maintains complete separation between Guest payments (processed by Stripe) and gift card sales (standard e-commerce transactions). Guest payments flow directly to Host Stripe accounts with no platform access, while gift card purchases represent standard retail transactions from our pre-funded inventory.
  • The Gift Pot operates under strict timelines:
    • Guests can only contribute gifts within 70 days of event creation
    • Hosts must purchase their gift cards within 85 days of event creation
    • After 85 days, any remaining funds will automatically be converted to a Prezzee x Planiit gift card
  • Gift Payment Processing and Balance Display:
    • When guests make a gift payment, funds initially enter a pending status in accordance with Stripe’s processing requirements
    • Gift payments typically take 7 days to clear through Stripe’s system before becoming available for gift card purchases
    • Total Gifts: The full amount gifted by your guests is visible in your event dashboard
    • Available Balance: When purchasing gift cards, you’ll see your available balance which reflects only cleared funds
    • Pending Balance: Newly received gifts will show as pending in your gift card purchase area until cleared
  • Individual gifts by guests are limited to:
    • Minimum gift amount: £5.00
    • Maximum gift amount: £250.00
  • All Guest-to-Host Gift Payments are processed by Stripe, a regulated third-party payment provider, and deposited directly into the Host’s Stripe Connect account.
  • Planiit does not hold, access, or control funds contributed to the Gift Pot. These transactions are managed entirely by Stripe in compliance with applicable financial regulations.
  • Guest payments are subject to standard Stripe processing fees which are automatically deducted from the amount received by the Host. Guests pay exactly the gift amount they specify, while Hosts receive this amount less Stripe’s standard processing fees, which vary depending on the payment method used (e.g., type of card, country of issue). Hosts can review current Stripe fees in the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
  • The Gift Pot feature is intended for personal, celebratory gifting purposes and is not suitable for fundraising, investment, or other commercial activities.
  • We do not guarantee the behaviour of any User or the successful occurrence of any planned event. Use of the Service is at the User’s own risk.
  • Hosts may only use funds contributed to the Gift Pot to purchase digital gift cards through Planiit’s platform. These funds cannot be withdrawn or used for other purposes.
  • Gift Payments are personal and unconditional. Guests contribute with the intention of supporting the Host’s celebration, but gifts are not contingent on the occurrence of the event itself.
  • Gift cards are fulfilled via an API integration with Prezzee and delivered from Planiit's pre-funded inventory. This ensures instant delivery upon redemption of Gift Pot funds.
  • WhatsApp and Messaging: We use WhatsApp and other messaging platforms to share invitations. We're not responsible for message delivery failures or these platforms' availability. Use of these services is subject to their own terms.

4.3. Payment Processing:

  • Planiit integrates with Stripe Connect to facilitate payments from Guests to Hosts. Stripe is solely responsible for all payment authorisation, processing, and settlement.
  • Hosts using the Gift Pot feature must comply with Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement, including providing accurate information and maintaining an active Stripe account.
  • Planiit does not control the timing or flow of payments, which are processed directly between Guests and Hosts via Stripe’s platform.

5. Payment Processing

5.1. Payment Services: Payment processing for Planiit is exclusively provided by Stripe Payments Europe Limited (“Stripe”). Planiit does not provide payment services, act as a money transmitter, or receive or hold funds on behalf of users. All Guest payments are processed directly through Stripe’s regulated platform in compliance with PSD2 regulations.

5.2. Stripe Services Agreement: By using Planiit as a Host, you agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes Stripe’s Terms of Service. Hosts are solely responsible for complying with all obligations under Stripe’s agreement, including providing accurate information, maintaining tax compliance, and meeting any other applicable legal requirements. The Stripe Connected Account Agreement can be found at https://stripe.com/gb/connect-account/legal.

5.3. Secure Transactions: Stripe’s payment processing services include Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) as required under PSD2 regulations. This ensures that all transactions are secure, compliant, and encrypted. Planiit does not control the timing or flow of payments between Guests and Hosts.

5.4. Information Sharing: As a condition of enabling payment processing through Stripe, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. Planiit may share necessary transaction data with Stripe to facilitate payments, but Planiit does not have access to payment details or control over funds.

5.5. Host’s Use of Funds: Funds received into a Host’s Stripe Connect account through the Gift Pot are intended exclusively for purchasing gift cards through Planiit’s platform. These funds cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or used for other purposes.

5.6. Account Accuracy: Hosts are responsible for ensuring that their Stripe account and banking details are accurate and up to date. Planiit is not liable for any delays, errors, or issues arising from incorrect information provided by the Host.

5.7. Personal Use Only: The Gift Pot feature is intended solely for personal, celebratory purposes, such as gifting between friends and family. Use of this feature for commercial, fundraising, or other non-personal purposes is strictly prohibited.

5.8. Processing Fees: For payments made through the Gift Pot feature:

  • Guests contribute the exact gift amount they specify, with no additional fees added to their payment.
  • By using our Service as a Host, you acknowledge and agree that Stripe will automatically deduct their standard processing fees from each gift payment you receive.
  • Standard processing fees for UK cards start from 1.5% + 20p per transaction. Different rates may apply for other payment methods and international cards.
  • For example: When a Guest contributes £10 as a gift, they will be charged exactly £10. As a Host, you will receive £9.65 for payments made with a standard UK card (£10 less 1.5% + 20p processing fee).
  • Current processing fees can be found at stripe.com/gb/pricing. These fees are set by Stripe and may change in accordance with their terms.

7.4. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks: Guest payments are processed securely through Stripe’s payment system. In the event of payment disputes or chargebacks:
