Planiit for schools and teams
Collections for schools, without a personal bank account.
PTAs, schools, clubs and workplaces use Planiit for teacher gifts, end of term collections and leaving presents. Every contribution is a card payment through Stripe with its own reference, so no one is collecting cash, fronting the money, or chasing transfers in a class group chat.
Planiit takes no fee from what people contribute. Stripe takes its standard transaction fee from each contribution as it arrives.

What works today
Four things a school can use this term.
This is the whole list on the free version. Anything organisation shaped sits in the school layer, further down the page, which is in early beta.
Collections at scale
Teacher gifts, end of term collections, leaving presents and staff whip-rounds. Run as many as you need side by side. Each one has its own share link, its own deadline and its own running total, so you are not tracking four whip-rounds in one spreadsheet.
Premium invitations and RSVPs
For the summer fair, the quiz night or the leavers' disco. Pre-registered guest lists with CSV import, bulk email invitations, plus-ones as named guests with their own dietary requirements, and reminders that chase the people who have not replied.

Contributions are card payments handled by Stripe, each with its own reference, paid into the organiser's own Stripe account. Planiit never holds the money and takes nothing out of it. For a school, the point is that nothing runs through a shoebox or a personal transfer, and there is a list rather than a memory of who has paid.
A gift at the end of it
When the collection closes, the total converts into a gift card from the catalogue, so nobody has to do the shopping trip, keep the receipts, or work out what to do with the odd four pounds left over.
How a term runs
Set up in an evening, closed before the last day of term.
One collection per class
Name it, set the deadline, and say what the collection is for. That is the whole setup.
Share the link
The class group, the newsletter or the school app. Parents contribute by card and can leave a message with it. Nobody needs an account to give.
Close it and buy the gift
The total is already there and so is the list of who contributed. Turn it into a gift card and it is done.
Early beta
The school layer is in early beta.
On the free version a collection belongs to the person who set it up, so when the class rep changes, the history goes with them. The school layer fixes that, and it is open now to a small group of schools before the general rollout. Ask for early access and we will set you up.

Questions schools ask
The awkward ones, answered straight.
Who holds the money?
Stripe does, until the organiser withdraws it. Contributions go into the organiser's own Stripe account, each with a payment reference. Planiit never holds the funds and takes no fee from them.
What does it cost?
Creating a collection, inviting people and tracking replies is free. Stripe's standard transaction fee comes out of each contribution. Pricing for premium invitations and for organisation accounts is still being set, which is why the button says talk to us rather than showing you a plan.
Can several of us run collections for one school?
Not yet, in the way you probably mean. Any number of people can each run their own collections, and if you have premium you can see all of yours in one place. What does not exist is shared access, where two people manage the same collection, or a school-wide view across everybody's. Both are on the roadmap above and neither is available today.
What happens to parents' details?
Guest details are encrypted in the database, invitation emails carry a working unsubscribe, and contributing needs no account. Our privacy policy covers the rest.
We need the organisation account before September.
Then tell us that. We are choosing the build order now, and a school with a date in the diary is the best reason there is to move something up.
Is Planiit UK only?
The full system, including collections, is UK only for now. Save the date invitations work anywhere.
