Giving together should feel like giving.
Not like admin, a spreadsheet, or a bank transfer request buried in a group chat.
The party was never the hard part.
Gemma spent years running events professionally before Planiit, and had organised more group gifts than she could count. A class present, a leaving do, a first birthday. Organising them she could do in her sleep. Collecting the money never was: a bank transfer request buried in a group chat, someone fronting the cash, someone else chasing it, and a spreadsheet nobody wanted to own.
The awkwardness was the other half of it. Asking people to chip in feels like asking for money, so most hosts never do, and everyone ends up buying token gifts nobody wanted in the first place. It is a habit rather than a decision: giving for the sake of giving, because that is how it has always been done.
So she and Jamie built Planiit around both halves. Wording that makes contributing feel normal rather than cheeky, and payments handled properly underneath, with invitations and RSVPs on the front. Today it runs children's parties and adult birthdays, teacher and end of term collections for whole classes, and weddings.
Nobody wants to feel like they are asking for money.
Nobody really wants the token gifts either.
The spend was always going to happen. Twelve people, twelve presents, roughly the same total. Planiit points it at one thing instead of twelve. Same generosity, same money, something they will actually keep.

How it works →What we built
Everyone does invitations. The money is the bit that gets left.
Invite and track
Build the invitation, send it, and track who is coming. Reminders chase the people who have not replied, so the organiser is not the one doing the chasing.
Collect without the admin
Guests contribute whatever they want to give and leave a message with it. No sort codes in the group chat, nobody fronting the money, nobody chasing bank transfers.
One gift, not a pile
One gift the person actually wants, chosen at the end from over 200 brands, instead of a pile of presents nobody asked for. We plant a tree with every card.
How we handle your money
Group collections only work if everyone trusts where the money sits, so it is worth being plain about it. Contributions are taken by Stripe and go straight into the organiser's own connected account. Planiit does not hold customer funds at any point.
When the pot closes, the organiser chooses from over 200 gift card brands, fulfilled by Prezzee and delivered digitally. Every contributor can leave a message, and those messages go to the recipient with the gift.
